  My friends and I found this place almost by accident last weekend. My word, did we find a gem!
  The food - we all had steaks - was cooked to perfection, the amounts were not too small and not too large and were extremely tasty. The steaks were thick and all cooked to the degree we requested - even down to the labelling sticks printed with 'rare', 'medium' etc. Prices were average considering it was such lovely food.
  The decor and ambience was restful and interesting; being an older property with characterful features but brought up to a very good standard throughout. The outside, being a roadside inn, does not prepare you for the delightful atmosphere inside.
  We were extremely impressed by the owner's care of us. He was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We hope to see him again to thank him for such a lovely meal before. We do so want to repeat the experience soon!
